Firefighter Zach Rylands started volunteering with MVRFD in 2015 in order to help his community, gain experience in the fire service, and follow in his father's footsteps as a member of Mowhawk Valley Fire. Soon after begining his journey with the district, Zach became a resident volunteer. He currently lives at one of the stations and pulls shifts on a rotating 48-96 hour schedule. Zach has been one of the top 5 responders since starting with the district, and continues to be a dedicated responder.
Firefighter Rylands is currently a part-time employee with the fire district, and spends his free time with his friends and family.
